The people behind it

The team behind Quest.

Quest is built by a small group of engineers and mental health practitioners. Below is who we are, what we believe, and how we work.

Why we built it.

We kept watching the women in our lives carry a kind of weight no one named. Marriages quietly drifting. Aging parents who needed everything. Kids growing up and out. A body that kept changing without permission.

Most of them couldn't afford weekly therapy, or didn't want to wait three weeks between sessions to be heard. We wanted to build the in-between. A companion who'd actually be there when the spiral starts at 11pm, and who'd remember enough about you to make the second conversation deeper than the first.

What we believe.

That being heard is itself a kind of medicine. That AI shouldn't pretend to be a person, but it can sit with you the way a thoughtful friend would. That women over 35 deserve software that was built for them, not adapted from something built for 22-year-olds.

And that the right companion is the one who notices the pattern you can't see yet.

How we work.

Clinical framework

What grounds the companion

Quest's responses are grounded in three traditions that have decades of evidence behind them, not in self-help platitudes.

Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) Internal Family Systems (IFS) Attachment theory

Safety guardrails

How we handle crisis

Quest is not built for crisis situations. We consult with licensed mental health practitioners on safety design. If Quest senses a user may be in danger, she'll connect them to trained counselors at 988 (US) or 116 123 / 85258 (UK) through an in-app pop-up.

What we don't do

The lines we hold

We don't diagnose. We don't sell your conversations. We don't train outside models on what you tell her. We don't claim to be therapy, and we don't claim Quest is a replacement for it. We say so out loud, on every page.
